Posting Rules
All right, here's the deal. Collectively, this community must have a ton of live performances/radio interviews/ff miscellany on it's members' hard drives. I think, barring the disapproval of "the admin", we should each make an effort to upload any *NON-OFFICIALLY RELEASED* Fiery Furnaces material that we've got (including links to streaming material) to this thread. For any questions regarding the legality of a potential post, please see "THE RULES" (a modified set borrowed from www.dimeadozen.org's FAQ). Basically, this post is going to function as a sticky, and will be edited regularly to include new stuff posted in this thread, as posted. If anybody has any questions/ideas, feel free to PM me or voice them publicly. Also, about the uploading: I recommend using either www.megaupload.com or http://rapidshare.de, as files stay alive indefinitely so long as they are downloaded at least once every 30 days. Also also, as far as sound quality goes, lossless isn't really feasible given the size limits of megaupload and rapidshare, but let's do our best to post the highest quality stuff we feel is available given said constraints.
THE RULES
No post may distribute any officially released material. This includes:
1. OOP material and the separated audio part of VHS videos, Laserdisc videos, and DVD videosÃÂÃÂÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂeven if the recording is from a different source than the officially available material;
2. Alternate recording sources of any officially released performance, unless specifically permitted by the artist's policy for trading;
3. Video material whose audio portion has officially released content;
4. Remixes or remasters of any officially available material;
5. So called "bastard" mixes and DJ sets.
6. Recordings (audio or video) of shows from subscription cable or broadcast channels (such as, but not limited to, HBO or Showtime, XM Radio, SIRIUS, Canal+, Wowow, and Mezzo). These stations assert and enforce copyrights on all their broadcasts. The same applies to all pay-per-view events on any station or channel. note: This list is definitely not exhaustive. If you are still unsure of the legality of a potential post, feel free to ask.
